
Mario Martos, trumpet

Mario Martos was born in Madrid, and currently works as a solo trumpet at the Münchner Rundfunkorchester.
He began his musical studies at 8 years old at the Music School of Fuenlabrada with his first trumpet teacher Ernesto Chuliá.
12 years old he enters into the Conservatory of Alcorcón studying with Mario Perez, and finnishes his studies in 2010 being awarded with the school´s Extraordinary Prize.
The same year, he joined the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid under the tutelage of Enrique Rioja, where he finished in 2014 with an Honorary Degree. While studying, he enjoyed a year of the Erasmus scholarship at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg with Professor Hans Gansch.
In 2015 he wins a position at the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic, where he is tutored by Gábor Tarkövi, trumpet soloist of the orchestra, and where he regularly collaborates regularly with the orchestra.
He has received masterclasses of professors such as Maurice André, Eric Aubier, Hakan Handerberger, Stephen Burns, Antonio Cambres, Luis González and Adán Delgado among others.
Mario has collaborated with various orchestras such as the National Orchestra of Spain, the Madrid Symphony Orchestra, the Scala Theater Orchestra, the Rundfunksinfonieorchester Berlin and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also been awarded prizes in various national and international competitions, such as the Tallinn International Trumpet Competition (2012) where he won the 1st prize, and the Prague International Spring Competition, where he won the 3rd prize (2016).
