GREETINGS
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Music is the most honest sensation. It "sees" you, and can cause surprising emotions in all stages of life. Every second year Festival Turina gathers the most wonderful musicians capable of transmitting what is beyond the score, what makes art unexplainable.
The uniqueness of live chamber music is the main attraction, impossible to reproduce. A communication between the artists can create a shiny new language, intertwined, in which the musicians are supported, give, listen, receive..., and the every day growing, International audience can not escape from such a transitory beauty, and yet so profound experience.
Responsibility towards the young generation, and proximity between artists and young musicians is important, and a high priority in the Festival. This results in activities such as masterclasses, chamber orchestra, wind band, concert series...
From spring 2017 the festival is proud to present a new, unique project, TURINA between FESTIVALS, aimed for former festival artists and talented, young, Spanish musicians in concerts together.

TURINA between FESTIVALS will fill the concert hall in Seville with wonderful music and priceless experiences for young musicians.
5th Festival Turina was named 2nd best classical music event in Spain 2015 by the magazine "El Cultural". The 6th festival will be celebrated in the centenary year of the birth of Joaquin Turina, the Seville composer who gives name to the festival.
With the strong support from the City Council of Seville, agreed in July 2016, product of a common and sincere commitment to young musicians, chamber music, our heritage through the figure of Joaquin Turina, and the City of Seville, its celebration represents a strong and positive look ahead.
