Festival Turina is very pleased to announce a new musical/pedagogical activity named TURINA between FESTIVALS, premiering in Sala Joaquín Turina Concert Hall in Seville from January 2017.
In four concerts, prestigious musicians who were part of the Festival in previous years, and that left a special mark on the city, will in each concert be forming a chamber music group together with the best young Spanish talent. Many of them have participated in masterclasses at the festival, have received a scholarship, or have been invited as a young artist. The participation will also open for any other young, Spanish applicant to participate. The concerts will be organized in cooperation with ICAS / Area of Culture of the City Council of Seville, and will be part of the official program of the Sala Joaquín Turina.
The Festival Turina gives great importance to the education of young musicians, and believes deeply in the moral obligation to support and create opportunities for them. One of the most interesting ways to support is to create platforms where renowned artists of great recognition can spend time together and transmit their knowledge to young musicians. The festival will create an opportunity for young musicians to make music together with professional musicians, a very special and unusual opportunity. The days before the concert all the musicians will be united in intensive rehearsal.
The fact that musicians with international and dilated careers share the stage with young emerging artists is a boost to the career of the young musicians, and Festival Turina is glad to be part of this path.
Not only the audience will enjoy once more the presence of festival artists and concerts at a very high level, but also music students will be able to receive master classes from the invited artists during theirr stay. This formula embodies the constant concern of Festival Turina, its commitment to young musicians and chamber music, of living something more beyond a concert, where musicians come to a city, play and leave.
The audience is, as always, invited to follow the rehearsals and master classes.
