Master classes will be open for students world-wide from pre-college level up to postgraduate and doctoral level. Active participants can apply as individuals, or as part of chamber music groups (duo, trio, quartet, quintet..).
Admission requirements:
Students who wish to be admitted in the master classes as active participants must complete and send the application form. Those students who as well sends a recording together with the application form, will have preference in the selection process. The recording, or DVD, must include two works of free choice and different styles, with a length of approximately 15 minutes. Individual movements are accepted. The deadline for sending the application form and/or the recording will be the 1st of June 2009. The selected students will receive a confirmation of acceptance before 20th of June 2009.
Festival Turina opens the possibility for some of the active participants in the master classes to be selected to perform some works of the official Festival Program together with the Festival artists. Therefore it is important to send the application form together with the recording (in this case mandatory) as soon as possible. A string orchestra will also be formed, led by Felix Ayo, and there will be chosen two violinists and a cellist from the students to be soloists in Vivaldi´s Concerto Grosso op. 3 no. 11. The orchestra will also accompany the Festival artist Javier Aragó. The concert takes place Saturday 12th at 12:00.
The tuition fee for the master classes will have to be paid through a bank wire transfer before the 25th of June. If the transfer has not been made by that date, next student in the selection list will be admitted as a active participant.
Repertoire:
Students can select freely the repertoire that they want to play in the master classes, tough it must be original for the instrument or the chamber music group. Festival Turina does not offer a repertoire pianist, so active participants can freely choose to bring their own. In case the repertoire selection is entirely chamber music (sonatas), Festival Turina encourages these students to send their application form as a duo.
Passive Participants:
From Seville: All students from the Music Schools and Conservatories in Seville can attend the master classes as passive participants for free. Those students interested can send an email to masterclass@festivalturina.com, or contact the Festival Office during opening hours, with their personal information and choice of instrument. To receive free entrance, it is necessary to show proof of enrolment in a musical institution in Seville when receiving the pass.
From outside Seville: Passive participants studying outside Seville will be able to get a pass for all the master classes in the Festival Office through the payment of a 50 euros fee. The total number of passes for the master classes will be determined by the size of the classrooms and will be given according to the date in which the email of application is sent to masterclass@festivalturina.com. The pass can also be received contacting the Festival Office during opening hours.
Access for the audience:
Festival Turina opens the doors to some of the master classes to the audience for free. The timetable will be announced together with the official Festival Program in May.

As part of the Festival Program, a selected number of active participants in the master classes will perform the master class concert.
