Like former years, it is a pleasure for me personally, and in the name of the whole Family of Joaquín Turina, to greet this new edition of the International Chamber Music Festival which carries his name, and takes place in Seville between the 5th – 11th of September this year.

Since the chamber music works form a significant aspect of his catalogue of works, and to which he dedicated some of his most representative pages, it is especially logical that a Festival of these characteristics takes place in Seville. It influences in making this repertoire better known combined with education through master classes with young musicians taking an interest in his music.

The Festival has present an important group of artists, who have made it one of their specialties to combine interpretation and education. These musicians, together with the program, undeniably attractive due to the programmed works, will without a doubt be welcomed by the audience, and permits me to predict that this new edition of the “International Chamber Music Festival Joaquín Turina”, will make a hugh impact.

It remains to congratulate in advance the people responsible for making this event taking place, for a success which with all security this new edition will achieve, and which will secure future editions of the Festival in the coming year.
